Fabric wrapping gives my favorite old scuffed-up heels a new lease on life. I seriously love the crap out of these shoes and refuse to throw them away even though they look pretty beat up.
Thanks to make it and love it.com for their helpful tutorial for wrapping flats.
I started by cutting a rectangle shape out of the fabric and cutting it 3/4 of the way up the center.
I cut the bows off the top of the shoes so I had a smooth surface. I painted on Weldbond glue with a brush over first one half, then the other half of the shoe. I smoothed and stretched the fabric so that no puckering happened around the corners in front or back.
I folded over one end in back and wrapped it around the other side to cover it completely and give it a finished look. I don't know what I'm going to do with the heel yet. There's a good chance I'm going to dip it in glitter so stay tuned!
